I need some help I have a 1800ss Lund Alaskan on a Heritage trailer and have blown out and ruined several tires. The axle is bowed and the wheels are canted out. I called the dealer and was informed this is the right trailer. I weighed the boat/motor/trailer package stripped down like I bought it from the dealer on a certified scale. It weighs a over the limit as posted on the trailer. The dealer says this can't be the numbers don't add up and I agree. I you add the weights as listed up I have a small margin not much but some.
Has anyone else experienced this problem. Where could the extra weight be I am baffled. I've looked everywhere even added up the transom saver and boat tie downs. Can't figure it out?

It is most likely water logged foam

Good thought, but Lund says it can't be unless boat was submerged for an extended period, which it hasn't. always stored inside.Bilge is dry. Although I will try and investigate further by pulling some more panels and taking small core samples. Thanks
Could hull weight listing be wrong from factory?

Aluminum is very light. Sounds like you actually need a new trailer axle and springs. I bet the one you have is damaged and out of alingment

Were you noticing any odd tire wear prior to blowouts? How many miles/time between ''several'' blowouts? Are tires rated for weight you are carrying? Where do you keep you tire pressures? Have you had the alignment checked? Pictures may help.

Boat weights are generally listed without an outboard motor. You must also consider the weight of the trailer if you are looking at theGvwr and not the load capacity.

When you say canted out, top or bottom of tire.Which way is the axle bowed up or down?
