Lowrance HDS - Operator Questions

Hello Everyone,

I splurged recently and purchased spiffy new HDS-10 with Structure Scan and the LWX Sirius Weather option. I am just about done with the installation work and powered everything up this afternoon. So much for the easy part...

Now I have to learn how to operate it.

I spent the last hour tolling the Internet and this looks loke a pretty good place to ask questions. So, for the first in what is probably going to be a series of dumb questions...

How do you close a page (window) on the display?

For example if I currently have a sonar page open on the left half of the display and a chart page open on the right side of the screen, how do I make the sonar page disapear and thus use the whole display for just the chart?

Hey, I just got an HDS too but just a 7 not a 10. to select what you want on the screen you push the PAGE button and scroll through the selections.

Hi Ted,

Thank you for your timely response. With your guidance I have made it through the knot hole.

I played with this earlier today and didn't make any progress. Later, after some more reading, I discovered how to step from page to page in the display. Needless to say, it didn't occur to me to go back in this direction.

The key here is that if you want to display a single page, you have to first select this page on the screen. Then you can use the page menu to make it the only page.
