My brother in-law took the cover off his boat this weekend and found something interesting with his lower unit.I believe the motor is 150hp Mariner out board and when we pulled the cover off,the prop and shaft were pushed out approx 6-7 inches! He pulled the plug to check the lower unit fluid and nothing came out.If water had been in there and frozen,would that have caused everything to be pushed out? He swore it was winterized properly,and the only thing I noticed was that it was tilted all the way up. I thought the casing would have cracked before it pushed everything out! Any thought?
