OD .53"
ID .37"
.09 thick

They are made of nylon, so should be replaced after each service.

You can buy a pack of 50 from iboats 18-42481-9.

not nessasarily.
over the years there were 3 styles of drain aned vent screws.
one takes a fiber washer, one takes a nylon washer and one takes an oring.
depends on the sealing face of the plug.
flat sealing face uses fiber,a sealing face with a small upraised radius area takes nylon.
a face groove cut into the sealing face takes an oring.
failure to use the correct parts will result in leakage.

O-rings and flat washers are not interchangeable and never were.

Click the thumbnail please. This is cited for example to show the difference in the plugs.

A property of nylon is that it absorbs moisture and expands up to 30% by volume. After use in the gearcase, the used washer is considered unreliable for this reason.

They may look like washers but they are correctly called gaskets because their function is to seal, not necessarily cushion, the plugs.

FYI, the OMC service bulletin consistently refers to them as washers.

The plugs with a flat sealing face use OEM part number 0311958 which is flat and made of nylon [as shown in the service bulletin]

I looked up mine and it uses the same O-Ring #. I wonder if it is special or if one from a typical o-ring service kit will fit...?

On that note, I noticed that when I winterized my new-to-me motor that there was an O-ring AND a nylon washer. No leaking, but curious nonetheless... Guess I'll have to check that out when I pull it out for the Spring.
