I have a '95 Mercury 175 EFI that apparently (per service tech.) needs a new lower unit. As I research, it appears that the same lower unit fits 150, 175, and 200 hp engines. The only difference being the length of the shaft (20" or 25"). If this is correct, what would be the range of model years of compatibility?
