Low Voltage 4.3 V6 Mercruiser Alpha

When testing the voltage from the ECM it shows only 11.2 Volts when cranking its drops to 8.7. The engine cranks but does not start. any Ideas. I did switch to a used model. still getting less then 12 volts just around 11.6 volts until I crank the engine then it drops to 8.7 volts on the red/ white wire to the Distributor. any idea

Battery should not drop below 10V measured at the battery terminals when cranking. A fully charged lead acid battery should be 12.7V

If Bat checks out then you have corrosion issues
