I have found that I have 50 psi on one cylinder and between 145psi and 155 psi on the other three. I have read on several boards that there maybe carbon buildup causing the rings to stick?...I changed the plugs and noticed that all of them showed signs of carbon build up...Before I take this to a machine shop is there any thing else I can check....Thanks!!

Welcome to iboats. :)

Hopefully it's just a blown head gasket, but I'm betting on a roached cylinder with a reading that low. :(

I am somewhat technically competant, and I have a Seloc manual ordered that should be here tomorrow, but it is difficult to remove the head , and are there any tricks I should be aware of?........
