I was just docking at the ramp when my wonderful wife says: "I'll get the trailer, honey". Now...she has NEVER backed a trailer in her life,, but I'm thinking: " there's no reason why she COULDN"T back a trailer".<br /><br />Predictably she goes to the truck, starts to come back, and the trailer jack-knifes. She bends the trailer 90 degress over and crunches the bumper.<br /><br />(I am way too far away to make screaming and cussing useful)<br /><br />She pulls forward, and of course, jacks it back the other way and crunches the bumper again!.<br /><br />She pulls forward, gets out, and walks back to me as if nothing has happened. She says:"I guess you better get it"<br /><br />I said: " Honey, did that crunching, popping, screaching sound bother you dear?"<br /><br />When I got home I had to take off the ball in order to free the truck from the trailer. I left the bumper as is as a daily remminder not to let her do that again. Thank God it was just an old truck.

ROFLMAO. Gotta give her credit for trying, I guess. My wifey did the same thing, but stopped before the crunching. I keep tellin her,I will teach her how, but so far, I haven't had the time or inclination....As I never let her drive my truck to the corner store. Not that she is a bad driver, she's better than me....But I am afraid she'll aquire a "habit" of wanting to drive my truck. I can't have that.

I let my wife park the trailer and she got out and stepped accross the tongue and tripped and consequently dislocated her shoulder--needless to say I have to get the boat out and take her to the hospital. Everything is fun and games until someone gets hurt.
