I bought this cool boat in Clear Lake CA. Anyone know what it is? Tried many ways to ID. one result indicate it was built by "Kracker built boats" in FLA. It is very much like a bayliner capri with no "Bow riding" section. 1987 model year. Can't findanything about usmarine. need manual & parts. Help!!

How'd you determine 1987 model year?

If it's an 87, the HIN will provide the maker.

USMarine?

No real or helpful manual for the boat ever existed, nor a parts inventory.

What parts?

Get a service manual for the motor

registration renewal

Bayliner, probably delivered it unpainted to seller

USMarine?

That is the branding on the boat

There must be. one from final finishing seller

What parts?
Ignition switch with integrated choke control

Get a service manual for the motor
A dodge F85 book?

Image has a finishing company's metal tag on port dashboard

US MARINE is the same as FORCE outboards.----See a Mercury dealer to find any parts that are still available.

That boat , worked on hundreds of them, is a Bayliner and that model was made in a factory in Washington state.
The paint job on the motor and hull shows it's a 1987, the hull ID # probably shows it too.
The motor should have a sticker on the transom clamp that has the model and serial number.
They do have parts manuals for the motor Ebay is a good place to start.
The factory made a parts and service manual for the boat but it was a dealer item only, it could be purchased when the boat was sold.
The parts for the outboard are all over you just need to get the right parts diagram or a good place that sells them.
Franz Marine is a good bet, boats.net, they sell parts here too.

U.S. Marine was Bayliner. When Brunswick bought Bayliner, the U.S. Marine moniker (mostly stamped on accessories for Bayliners) was done away with.

The boat is a Bayliner Capri Closed Bow, like jerryjerry said. Closed bow was far less common. Most of them were bowriders or cuddy cabins.

You won't find a manual for the boat. Only a couple of manufacturers did that, and Bayliner wasn't one of them. You can still download the owner's manual from Bayliner's website, but it's mostly a short pamphlet on operation; with just a little bit on the electrical system.

Force is out of business. You can still get parts and there are still manuals out there for the outboard. Again: refer to jerryjerry's post.

The ignition switch OEM is over $100
They used 2, one is the long barrel, the other is the short.
A better pic will help.
Sometimes the starter will have the part numer on it and doing some research you can figure out the rest of the info you need.

Bayliner is still selling/making boats. If you send them the hull number they might send you the build info on that boat.

Bayliner is now just a name brand. They are now made in the same Brunswick plant in Mexico next to SeaRays (under 26').

Brunswick may or may not have records as this is a pre-brunswick, US Marine built boat
