loud trim pump noise

I was wondering what would cause the power trim pump to be noisy,trimming up it sounds fine but trimming down it is much louder,kind of like a screaming sound? i checked the fluid level and it was full.

That is normal on some, as long as it is not a big difference in sound level.

Thanks Sloopy,It seemed to get louder after i checked the fluid level? Maybe air trapped in system? It sounded like it sucked air in when i removed the plug to check it.

Be sure your grease fittings are well lubed... it might take care of it (if it isn't truly the trim fluid or pump).
