lost with my 89 force 125

hello my name is yano and i have a 1989 focre 125 that the motor was rebuilt in 2000. the motor has under 200 hrs on the rebuild. lower unit is junk and i want to sell the motor. i got tons of new stuff in it but dont know what it is worth.

I think you might be in the wrong section with this one, but NADA lists prices retail/ wholesale on outboards here:

You're probably going to have to decide on your own what to add and subtract from the prices it churns out for ya.

You might want to also try looking in your local paper/ craigslist to see what the asking price is for similar (non jap) outboards with the same year and hp. too and, again, decide from there.

How accurate is that NADA book? According to the book it cites $220 avg retail value for this motor. It's gotta be worth more than that :confused:.

You know, I was going to say something about that in my reply. After pricing 2 motors of mine there I was disappointed too. Don't think I've ever seen outboards priced that low in the local papers or Craigslist (unless they were really messed up).

Maybe you should just keep your eye on those other resources to give you an idea, or perhaps a Bayliner dealer might be nice and help too.
