lost 2000 rpm

hi there, i've got a 1984 searay with a 120hp i/o and i just lost 2000 rpm on my tach.
boat performace has not changed.
where should i start to look for the problem?

Ayuh,.... My guess is at the Tach....

If it's got a switch on the back,... move it 'round, 'n reset it, 'n try it...

Otherwise,.... replace it...
