Engine in question is a 1972 65 hp Evinrude with electric shift.
This engine starts very quickly but on about 4 different occasions over the past year I've attempted to start it with no fire on all three cylinders checking with spark tester fortunately not being stranded on the lake. Two of those times came out the next day and not touched anything and engine fired up. Saturday I changed gear oil and started engine to check shifting without any indication of a problem. Sunday went to lake and no spark when launching. Haven't looked at since then due to weather. Jiggled key in ignition and moved shifter some making no difference. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated before I start tracing wiring.
