85 evinrude 175 plugs always wet mixed oil 1/2 quart to 6 gallons of fuel keeps fouling plugs. i dont want to put to little oil it what do you think?

From what I have read this unit would have a VRO (Variable Ratio Oil System) if this is the case your engine is adding oil itself. I could be wrong but I would check on this. If that is the case then you would not need to add any oil except to replenish the VRO.

Any one agree or disagree I could be wrong here

they will be a little wet after idling,
what plugs are you using ?
does the engine have vro and is it working ?
you will need to check the compression and
check each coil for bright blue spark with a spark testor

Since 1983 V4, V6, and V8 model units have been eqqiped with a VRO

Since 1987 the 3-cylinder in-line powerhead has been equiped with the VRO

quite often vro has been removed.........

the vro was removed the oil is mixed in with the fuel in the tank
