looking for weight of mercury 50hp - 80 hp from 1960s thru 1980s

I need the weights for mercury s 4 cylinder 50 to 80 hp
and the weights for the 3 cylinder motors same hp range ..
I think the 65hp would be the weight I can use. because from what little I found there mostly under 200lbs

yes you are right , regardless ,im going to look for a motor with more hp then 40 but under 200 lbs . of coarse reinforcements etc etc will be done ...where did you find the specs for my boat any pics im lookin for ideas on the seating etc

Changes of this type tend to transfer load from 1 part of a boat (transom & knees) to other parts of the boat that werent intended to handle that additional load.

Does your state consider overpowering a boat as reckless operation, regardless of how diligent you are w the throttle? Mine does.

Its your boat, do as you see fit, but you wont find much help in pursuit of overpowering a boat.
