Looking for reefs with Raymarine Element

I live in Toledo Ohio where there are several reefs nearby, east of Toledo, near Port Clinton, dubbed the walleye capital of the world. I am new at using my Raymarine Element fishfinder and haven't needed to learn about navigation charts since I fish near shore in familiar places. My Element has a chart bundled into it and I havent paid to renew the free one year subscription to the Navionics premium service that provides updates. But before I launch near the reef complexes, might anyone know if western Lake Erie's reefs are indicated on the Element's basic imbedded in chart so I could easily navigate over to the reefs?

Thanks for reply. Yet I am wanting to find out if my fishfinder's chart feature can guide me there.

Base charts are useless….I highly doubt your reefs are marked

What are you expecting the chart to do for you?

Even if the locations are marked, the unit still requires input from you to get to the location. Easier to plug in the coordinates and save as a Way Point for future use.

You have the coordinates. Why not turn on the unit and look if the locations are marked?

I don't know how to enter coordinates in my Raymarine Element. But I launched on Lake Erie from Turtle Creek and the chart did show me most of the reefs out there, except one known as Turtle Reef. So I was succesful in aiming the pointed boat icon to the main reefs in the reef area & navigating over to them.

I have found that the Underwater parts of the Propulsion System to be the best Reef Finder/Locater ever invented. Seems to function 100% of the time
