Looking for Model Year Evinrude 60 hp

I'm looking for the year of manufacture on my 60 hp evinrude. I was told by the previous owner that he thinks it's a 1992 model. The only numbers found are on the transom brackets are: 185707 and 28EM2.

On that model, there should be a heavy duty sticker at the top portion of the steering swivel bracket, between the swivel bracket and the engine's exhaust housing ( the long housing between the powerhead and the lower unit).

That sticker would have the model and serial number on it. Also, check the powerhead for as quarter sized core plug (looks like a small freeze out plug) that may have those number on it.

The numbers you listed are most likely casting numbers.

I looked all over the engine where you said with no results.
