looks like your model number is 40820007V and your service manual should be merc part number 8M0081787...

AD, Go here, https://public-mercurymarine.sysonl...TYyNDEkbzEyJGcxJHQxNzkxNDE3MDc5JGo0MiRsMCRoMA..

Put in your serial number, click on the "and up range" then find service support as this is where I found it.

Edit: next up, go here and scroll half way down looking for service manuals and open up the options for a few of the others,

Run the part numbers through Ebay to see if they are there...

Thanks for looking FT but look at the links you provided. Only the Mercury Marine shows 8M0081787 everywhere else except ebay does not. The issue I have with ebay is this is after the latest, so buying it most likely means it's not the latest.

I had a good knowledgeable send me a pdf of what they thought was the latest and turned out I found a later version online.

The real issue is where do we find all the manuals that are part of a given motor, I don't know. Today's motors are more a mess of several manuals that cover every types of issues and we are not able to determine which are the latest and even experts are not either

I do follow you on that as the challenge to keep up seemed to have increased over the years so while still maybe not 100% on it, a higher percentage of getting the latest is running 8M0081787 shows dates made in 2013 and then appears to suppressed over to 90-8M0229134 that in looking at the back of one of the books photo shows the year to be made in March of 2025.

Mercury Marine part number 8M0081787 is no longer made, it has been superceded and replaced by 8M0229134 -click here- to see the newest superceded part

Outside of that generally speaking it helps to know really good up to date Merc dealer people that have been doing it a long while (IMO) that has access to the dealer programs, latest manual index's or reach out to Merc customer service for double checking... (All outside of good people like Muc and a small group of others that tend to hang out on internet forums like this that is.)

Plus yes, you're correct in saying there are a few different types you sometimes need to use depending on the chase you're heading down along with obtaining the correct wiring harness binder part number that fits your engine model as they have several by now i'm sure.

And here's January 2022 edition for the Bravo drives...
