looking for a cowl! 1986 25 XD

Does anyone know where I can find a cowl for my 1986 Mercury 25 XD? I've tried ebay and google, but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place. I'm also not sure if cowls from other models and years would fit as well. I just want something functional. Thanks for the help.

It's hard to tell what part of the country your from. Add some stuff to you signature or add location.

Depends on where your at, there are boat junk yards. If you let us know where your at, people might refer some places. Others may even have the cowl and be close to you.

The other place is craiglist.com and look for outboards, you may find some old non running parts motor for a little bit of nothing

Now that we know where your at it may make it easier for others to help find something.

Not that yours is an antique, but around here there is an antique boat motor club www.aomci.org/events. Once or twice a year they have a gathering, it a major flea market for boats and motor parts. Stuff sells real cheap usually. Do some research and see if there is club out your way.
