I have been looking for a restore project. I think I found the boat. I have the chance to get a Lone Star Mailbu with original motors. It has the two motor set up. I can get it dirt cheap with a trailer. The trailer alone would be worth more than what they are asking.

The hull is in great shape. The paint is faded a little. I will need to redo the seats. They are shot. I have been told that the motor ran fine the last time it was ran. That was in 2004. The cable steering is smooth. It comes with original owner's manual.

I do have a couple of questions on where to start to look for parts / help.

1. I would like to rebuild the motors. I don't know the interior condition but there is some rust on the cover. Is there any place that might have parts / pieces for this type of motor? I would hate to redo the boat and have to ruin the look with a new outboard.

2. Are there any forums / groups that might be able to give some pointers on the build?

Thanks for any input
