I have a 1967 Lone Star Boat. The VIN # shows it to be a 65. I have searched the web over and have not found a boat that matches the one I have. I could sure use some help in identifying it. It has a very small front windshield. I have pictures I that will help.

You might check out fiberglassics.com They have lots of brochures including glass and aluminum models.

Hey man, what are you after? You are chasing a boat that was built almost 60 years ago, not one of the top of the line money makers, and you're wanting info like it was made yesterday?

You said absolutely nothing as to whether it was 12' or 30' with a cabin or anything else other than something about a windshield. This late in the game the best you can do is find an after market mfgr. that makes plastic shields that fit different boats and adapt it to yours with a set of dimensions.

There are LS sites that show you pics and history on the brand. Be realistic and welcome to the site. I never owned one but grew up with them, beins I'm a red neck native Texan and they were made here and run here.

You are correct. I'm new at this whole fourm thing. I did'nt give alot of info. I have a 14ft lone star run-a-about. The title says it is a 1967 model, but the VIN says it's a 1965 model the boat is a one owner and always garage kept. It is in near prefect condition. I have begun restoring the boat and was a little confused on the model. It has a very small windshield that I have not seen on other Lone Star boats. The front navagation lights are very interesting looking they almost look like and airplane. Any info on the boat would be great! I have tried attaching pictures of the boat but I can't figure out what I doing wrong. I'll try it one more time...Still no luck!! can I email the pictures to someone and maybe they can figure out how to get them on here?

Go to the Forum's Index page, the same page where you selected Boat Topics to made your post, and scroll all the way to the end. There you'll find an index of a section where boats are listed by mfgrs and in there you might find what you are looking for. Lonestar is listed.

Way cool looking water toy, red sure looks nice, there are several of us that have old lone Stars here on iboats. I'm restoring a 196x boat with twins on the back, the twins are 1957's at 35 hp/Johnson's, should be fun if I ever complete it. Looks like your garage find is much cleaner and needs much less work than my beater, but talk to me in 2 years and we can compare. Nice boat for sure!!

No model listed on the title?

You might check fiberglassics / Chrysler. They have several boats listed that are the same as Lonestar names, check dimensions. You you might find a match.

Thank you. I'm having the interior redone, replacing the wiring and the motor hasn't ran in years so that needs looked at. I can't wait to get it on the water.

Re: Lone Star boat

Just goes to show you that a picture is worth a thousand words. When you said a lone star, I expected to see a 14' alum open skiff with 3 bench seats, faded paint, and a few dings. I agree with Mr. 454. I never saw anything like that and with a gell coat in that kind of shape after that many years, the PO must have had it in a zip lock bag. Grin

Congratulations.

Now, what is it? I never saw a cockpit layout like that.

Good luck,

Mark
