I am completely rebuilding a 1975 90hp Chrysler outboard, model 907HB. Upper main bearing calls for Loctite D to be applied to the outer surface during install. Would like to know of alternatives. I can not find grade D, and the Harnon equivalent I can only find on one international Spanish language website.

Loctite 081 orange threadlocker - tensile strength of 240 psi and a 72 hr cure time.

There are a number of products with the proper strength, but most are 24 hour cure.

I can only assume they spec’d 72 hours to allow adequate time for assembly
