Is your engine fuel injected or carbureted?
Do you have an "owner's manual" from when the engine was new?
Typically help locating a fuse will be in an owner's manual much like your car...As an example, the following link is for a Suzuki DF70A Owner's Manual pages 71/72 that covers fuses for this fuel injected engine model...,

That mentioned, do you own a digital multimeter? If yes, you'd then be able to measure for 12-volt power at the fuel pump wiring plug usually at first "key on" for say 2 or 3 seconds and/or engine cranking over depending on engine model and design.
