My live well switch has a manual and auto setting.. The manual works as it fills the live well up.... When I select Auto i get a light on the dash but nothing happens... Where is the timer located and how often do these come on...

Re: live well question

If you fill the livewell and switch to AUTO, you will need to leave the switch on for at least three minutes. That's the job of the timer. It will then run the pump for 30 seconds or so and turn off for three minutes thus repeating. If the timer doesn't appear to be working you need to check connections to it. Without a make and model of the timer we can't help. Sometimes the timer is part of the switch (all one unit). Sometimes the timer is a separate unit. Follow the wires from the switch. You should find an unit with three wires in it if the timer is separate.

Re: live well question

If the auto is working the pump should come on when you switch to auto. It will run for a specified time and then shut off for another specified time.
Point I am trying to make is the first thing that happens is the pump runs, at least on mine it does. So if it is not run when first switch to auto there could be an issue.
