Little gimbal bearing alignment trick I discovered

I needed to align the gimbal bearing on an 89 Yamaha sterndrive and discovered that the steering column from my 68 dodge b body would work perfectly. It fit perfectly in the bearing. I inserted a one inch keyed shaft until i hit the bearing. Adjusted the gimbal bearing until the shaft entered where the splines should go and the shaft went in . Worked well and thought I would share
