Lithium Battery?

I have bought a 100ah Lithium for my MinnKota Terrova. I fished with it for the first time last week....everything was great....it has Bluetooth so I can monitor the battery with my cell phone.
I am looking to buy another lithium battery for my Garmin Fish Locators. One is a Striker 7sv and the other is a Striker 7cv. I also want Bluetooth connectivity for that battery.
I have two (2) questions.... The first is about the size I should buy for my Garmin locators.... Best info I have shows that together they are pulling around 1.25amps?? If anyone has contradictory information, I would be glad for you to share.
The second question has to do with the maintenance of the batteries....I have the lithium charger coming from Amazon....4amp @ 12Vdc.......When should I charge the batteries? I want them to last, so taking proper care of them is critical.....I have done some reading on line and am getting conflicting information....charge them before every use?? wait and charge them after they are depleted??? I am usually on the water about 4-5 hours....I am 76 years old and don't stay out "all day long"....

I'm pretty sure a lithium battery charger needs to be over 13volt. Its different from a 12 volt battery charger. I don't think it matters about when you charge them. I also think you might run your fish finder and trolling motor off the same battery just fine if its only pulling just 1.25 amps. More knowledgeable folks might think different!

What is the...EXACT ..... Lithium chemistry of the battery ? Do the instructions give specific requirements ?

For long storage ( weeks) lithium batteries should not be stored full. The paperwork should spell out a desired storage voltage for long life. Also do not run them below 25% to keep a long life.

I will start the trouble.
I have LIFEPO4 battery packs for B & D tools from decades ago ? I always check & recharge them to full power about every 3 or 5 years. If I remember. The perfect ones might drop a few percent between charges. The worst cells are still at 90 % of voltage / power.
Mine are true LIFEPO4 cells. Not modern cheaper quality, called LIFEPO4.
Back then A123 company controlled building them.

What would a safe way to discharge one a little? I also bought one for my trolling motor this spring and after last use I recharged to full, but didn't get to use it. Now its at 100% for the winter. Would a trolling motor overheat if ran any length of time out of water?

Yes, running them out of water for more than a few minutes could cause overheating. Use anything that is 12v to run it down, a fan, a light, or any thing that won't overheat.

Yes...the charger I ordered is microprocessor based and shows it is sutiable for a 12.8-14.4 4cell LifePO4 battery

I have never thought it would hurt the trolling motor to run it out of water...they aren't water cooled......I am certain you would be fine to drain the battery a bit using the trolling motor

LifePO4 The charger I ordered is specifically for 12,8-14.4 4cell LifePO4 lithium batteries...the charger is microprocessor based....instructions state that the charger detects the state of the battery and charges accordingly....I didn't know that when I originally posted

Looks like no more than 80% is the recommended charge for storage...
