lightwin Armature Plate swap

Can i switch armature plates from a 63 (3302) light twin to a 65 (3502)? i have 2 65's and a 63 lightwins. The 63's coils, condensers, points are in good working order but unit has other issues and using it for what parts i can for the 65's. Haven't pulled the fly wheel off the bad 65 yet but it needs work. Armature handle swings to left when i pull start it. have one great running 65 and want the other for back up, thanks. [h=1][/h]

If you check the parts lists you will find they are the same part numbers (0581453)

If plate swings to the left , then the coils are not set properly.----Flywheel is rubbing on them.

Agree coils must be hiting flywheel. i should have asked can i switch plate and all without disassembling components,

Will swap no problem. Should shine-up/reset pointsets while you’re in..
