Folks, i took the pontoon out for the first time today and everything ran great but had this light come on and i don't know what it means. its a used pontoon so 1 gauge has been replaced, its a Honda digital gauge, the others are not digital. the light that came on on the Honda gauge is almost round with and arrow pointing toward it and the arrows are on both the left and right side of the circle. i wish i could upload the image but i'm using my wife's Mac and I'm not familiar with Macs. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Without a pic we have no idea, you didn't even say which gauge (oil pressure, temperature, other) :noidea:

plus, you are a new member, you have to have a few more posts prior to being able to upload pics

Perhaps you can find a picture of a similar gauge online and post a link to it.

My gauge, not the original to boat, is digital so it’s solid black but had a small symbol that looks like a O with an arrow pointing at it from both the left and right, my apologies for not being able to upload the image.

What brand? Usually it's on the face like the picture posted above.

It has Honda written across the face of it in white letters and the background is black as it’s digital, the link above doesn’t have the picture of my gauge.

The warning symbol is Low Oil Pressure which can be caused by low oil, a motor problem or a sensor problem.

Start with checking oil level and go from there. As Grub said, don't run the motor.

I wouldn't call that symbol almost round.

Guys, that green light is the oil light, but it means you are good to go, that there IS oil pressure, NOT the opposite. Been this way since they came out in the 90's. And yes, I agree it's counter intuitive. Normally you would only see a light if there's an issue - and they would be red.

There is no issue here, or need to "start trouble shooting per the factory service manual".

As far as what oil, not going to get into an oil war here. I tell my customers to run whatever they run in their cars. That'll work fine.
