Re: life is better with a boat
Great video.
The boating addiction started with my grandfather, he routinely took my dad and his 5 brothers boating during the summers when they were kids. My dad joined the navy right after high school and served 6 years. When my brother and I were little (I was 2, my brother was 5) my parents bought their first boat, a starcraft with a 40hp mercury, we used that boat almost every weekend during the summer. At around age 10 we sold that boat and dad and I made the trip to pick up the sea nymph with an evinrude 88. This spring my wife and I bought a boat and have begun to pass on the boating addiction to our daughters ages 9 and 3. The kids love it, every smile I see on their faces reminds me of the good times I had with my brother and parents each time we went boating. I think boating kept me out of trouble as a teenager, between that and playing with cars I had little free time.
Out of the 6 brothers (my dad and 5 uncles), 5 of them are still boaters, but all 6 of them have at one time or another owned boats.
