Re: Leave Tiger Woods alone
In most places that I have seen, when there is an unincorporated area or township, the local county Sheriff's Office handles the calls. For example, where I live, we have only four (I think) incorporated towns in the Parish. Each of those towns has its own police force. In the rest of the Parish, the Sheriff's Deputies handle all of the calls. State Police are not involved, unless the matter happens on a state road or other state property.
I guess there could be some sort of a coverage agreement in place concerning Woods' community, but short of that, it still strikes me as being curious.
Given recent news reports, however, its pretty obvious that his wife was ticked and was chasing him down the drive, beating on the car with a gold club.
BTW, how are we doin' on not talking about Tiger?
???
That's because the private community has jurisdiction issues. It's not part of any town, and they have their own security force. For some reason the Sheriff's Office has ceded to the FHP. Not sure why they did that?
