Anybody else tired of hearing about Tiger Woods wrecked his car? The guy wrecked his car for crying out loud, lot of peoples wrecked their car every day. Who gives a rat arse about what Tiger Woods does in his own time? The media must be short of things to talk about.

Agree 100%. It is none of anyone else's business at all.

It's funny how because someone is in the spotlight for something they do well, everything they do must be news.

I am with you, I don't care what he did or does, let it go. I have more important things to worry about than Tiger wrecking his car or having a fight with his wife.

I agree. But Tiger himself is keeping this story fueled by not giving the police a report. I think the big buzz is, it's been 3/4 days now, why a lawyer and why hasn't he given an account of the events that happened? People are wondering, "what's he hiding". If he would just give a report the story would go away... Until then, the media will stay on it..... When you're a celebrity, it goes with the territory whether they/we like it or not...

The one thing that bothers me is all the times I have been in a car mishap the cops had it statements taken (on site) he needed to be treated like anyone else and not like he is someone special,as far as Tiger Woods I could care less but than again I could care less about anyone in the media (i.e football, baseball, etc.)

I have a different take on this . . . if you aspire to be included in high stakes and high profile sports or entertainment type stuff, then it comes with the territory. You signed up, you get the attention . . .

Yet you start a thread about him on a boating message board, how ironic and contradictory to your point.

No, I started a thread saying it's ridiculous the media is buzzing on nothing and I'm tired of it being shoved in my face everywhere I turned. I didn't said something like did you hear about Tiger Woods?

I'm with you on this one. The surest way for news to go away is to stop reporting it. Until this thread, I hadn't heard of it.. because I don't watch television, and I don't listen to and read celebrity news outlets. Sad to know even a boating forum is vulnerable to trivial reporting of all things 'celebrity'.

I agree with that!

So many times i was with some of the Nascar drivers while they were doing autograph sessions and they would be all bitchy about it..
The sponsors pay them by the hour for that, usually 10 to 20 grand and they complain!Unreal!
If they are high profile they should accept the things that go along with it and the millions of dollars they get paid.

Carl Edwards was the only one who was genuine and acted happy to do it.
Great guy to hang out with.He even stayed for an hour after it was over and helped us load the hauler.

Did you see at Homestead when he did a live broadcast of his thoughts through each corner under the green flag? I agree, he seems willing to do all of this stuff and just happy to be there.

I stand by my statement. Sorry to single you out, but I see guys start threads, or reply to threads saying "who cares" or where's the option on your poll for "I could care less" etc, etc, etc.

By starting this thread you are just giving the story more publicity. ;)

Re: Leave Tiger Woods alone

He hit a fire hydrant, where I live all fire hydrants are on public streets, if this is the same in Florida then he should have to talk to the police just like you and I would, drivers license and registration, other then that you do not have to give anymore info.

Like some have said, he is a high profile person and is a target of the media.

He has a long driveway, it is said that his speed had to be under 35 MPH, air bags did not go off, crashes vehicle off of property, wife has golf club in hand at scene claims using it to rescue Tiger. He has cuts and bumps. How many of you are golfers? How many wife's would be carrying a golf club at two in the morning? Have been in two car accidents this year going less then 35, no cuts, no scracthes, never even had to show drivers license or registration, go figure. I did talk to police.

Re: Leave Tiger Woods alone

Everyone just wants to satifisy their own morbid curiousity, thats all.
It was either....

1. An accident... and yes accidents happen. In which case I don't understand why he won't talk to police.
2. Somebody had a little to much to drink, In which case i'm not surprised he's avoiding the police like a massachusettes state senator
3. He was doing (or getting) the naughty naughty with the wifey, in which case i'm sure i would want to keep the matter a little private myself.
