leaky transom plug

Just curious. My transom plug was leaking via the bolt through the middle. I'd say when I filled up the bilge with water it was dripping a drop about every 3 seconds. Now my question is.... when the boat is in the water is it possible that with the added water pressure a drip like that could let in several gallons of water overnight?

Thanks,
Rob

Re: leaky transom plug

Absolutely!

Which center bolt?

Is it a garboard plug (brass)? You need to use 3m5200 to seal up the screws and base (after you dry it out). AND you should investigate if you have water soaked into your transom wood.
