Ok, I need some help. I have an old 16 foot glasspar from what I can tell. Now to the problem.

It had been sitting outside for years. It's old, but still very sturdy. Someone has repainted the topside of this thing 5 times or so. The paint is about an 1/8th of an inch thick and is chipping all over the place. I need to remove it so I can get down to a level surface.

Anyone Have any tips or suggestions?

I will Try to upload a picture here soon.

Citrustrip available at Home depot and Lowes in the paint department it is a citrus based paint stripper . That and a plastic putty knife should get you through most of the paint.

I have never had good luck with the citrus stripper.
If any of that paint was good stuff, epoxy, the citrus stripper will only dull the shine and not remove it.

Aircraft stripper is what I use, paste type.
Brush it on, cover with plastic, so it can work without drying out, scrape it off.
Test to see how long you need to leave it covered.
