I just got this old Evinrude on a 68 larson for $40 , haven't even had time and am not sure where to get a manual for it,Anyone tell me how to ck this motor out besides takingit to a shop? Geoff

hey, call any omc dealer give model/serial # has it been sitting? check compresion.clean out carbs check for spark . they are simple motors real basic.

These engines are simple, but you have to have a manual to work on them. These cost about $30, and are worth every cent. Both Clymer and Seloc make them, and they can be bought at almost all boat stores.<br /><br />Or, you can order one using the link at the bottom of this page.
