Lark III not getting gas? Help

I've recently had my 40 HP 61 Evinrude Lark III tuned up(new plugs, seals, lines, and belt). On my third trip out I gave it gas quick and it started to get up and then just idled as if in neutral. It will now idle at low speeds but if I give it more gas it just revs up with no acceleration. While checking the motor I noticed my armature shaft was broken and belt torn but I have replaced them with a generator from a 62 Lark IV I've got for parts. No change-didn't think there would be. Is it my fuel pump? Anyone-please advise.
