A bit of a fail today getting the anchor re-installed.
It fit nicely, but . . . the backsplice was too fat for the windlass, so it would not get to the chain part when reeling it in.
The OEM rode had a stainless steel crimp instead of the splice, but I'm not sure I can do the same. I brought the whole thing back to the house and will see if I can do a better job of splicing it.
I'm wide open for suggestions . . . on getting a better splice.
