Hi all.
I've just bought a 4hp seahorse Model number bj4brcrm and would like to fit a kill switch to it. I believe that it will be need to be fit to the ignition system some how. Anyone ever done this or would know how to do this.

thx

Re: Kill Switch?

Are you thinking of the type of kill switch that turns it off if you fall overboard? Otherwise, why do you think you need one? Normally you just move the speed control toward slow till it stalls.

If you are thinking of the overboard thing, you have to run two wires, one to each set of breaker points under the flywheel. You will have to drill holes to get the wires out of there and suitably clamp them where they won't get caught in something as you work the speed control. Then the kill switch simply connects to those two wires.
