kicker motor question

not sure if this is the right place for this question but here goes

i have a 6hp johnson would this motor work as a kicker\trolling motor for my 72 slickcraft or is it just plain to small

If yoe are jsut wanting to slow troll with it I would think it would be about the right size. if you are also wanting a backup engine it would probably be a little small, but better than nothing.

I would want a 9.9 or a 15 HP but for inland waters, lakes and rivers it should do fine. The boat in the pocture does not look like it would catch too much wind. I would expect about 4 MPH max.
