Remember when you had a key and it cost maybe a dollar to get a copy made? While I do like the Fob the cost has gone astronomical.
Wife's 2012 Caddy (bought 2014) was bought used and only had one fob. That's BS, so we spent another $200 to get one programmed and key cut.
She gets a 2023 Caddy and dealer can not find the 2nd Fob nor the manual. Said we will look for it and trust us we will make it right (Ohio dealer). So after 3 weeks I find our local KY dealer has a Fob and will do the work. Said it will be more then $400 and they say, go ahead and we will reimburse.
Bill to program new Fob and cut key is $457.04
$88.90 for key
$187.18 for transmitter
$5.09 for shop supplies (who the heck knows what supplies you use other then a computer)
$25.87 Tax
Give me a Break, I found one at Walmart site listing Fob and blank key for under $40
