I never have been able to keep a noptebook puter on my lap for more than 5 minutes anyhow. They get hot fast.

Wifey got me a laptop table! It's a little table top attached to a bean-bag like pillow. Sit it on your lap.... no worries.... no burns.... no falling over laptop.... and no harm to the family jewels!
