I just picked up a 1994 Glastron SSV 175 but want to get the keel in order and add a keelguard before taking her out. Got quoted $250 for a resin job, sanded down prior to applying the keelgaurd. Curious of thoughts on this since the gelcoat wouldn't be seen under the guard anyways. I thought about doing a marinetex job myself, but thought it'd be nice to at least have some kind of warranty for the job. And if it's a resin job, I assume I could always apply a gelcoat later that may not adhere if it was marinetex. Not able to upload the pic for some reason so I hope the link works. 2nd one is just a shot of the boat for those curious. I'm happy that some minor glass and gelcoat work is all that's needed for it. I'll be practicing my gelcoat repairs later with stuff above the waterline later. For now I just want this baby in the water.
