I have just become the proud owner of my first boat! Pretty old but seems to be in really good shape. As is my usual course of action I would like to aquire the appropriate manuals for it (just makes life easier in the long run!)

It has an Evinrude outboard with the badges on it indicating it is a 35 Lark.
Serial number is 35514 50786. Can anyone help me pin down the year of the motor,(I think it is a '58), and who makes a good manual for these, ie: Chiltons, Haynes, or someone I am not familiar with.

The boat itself is indicated as Praire Plastics Ltd. 1960 Model 14D. I have never heard of them before but if they are anything like the old snowmobile makers, there were probably a lot that just didn't stand the test of time! A manual for the boat is not really a big deal other than curiosity. It would be nice to have a wiring diagram (although that appears to be pretty basic), and just some general information on how the controls are intended to be maintained and adjusted. Needless to say I am stoked about having a boat and cannot wait to get her in the water for the first time!:D

I would try an get the OEM manual, will cost a little more, but worth the money.
