I'll keep a couple meals of very early year 1-2 pound bass and crappie, before they start tasteing like weeds. <br />I'll keep the Chinook Salmon and a few 20-25in. Stripers.<br />I love eating fresh delicate tasteing, white flaky fish. And smoked Salmon.<br /><br />I'll release all the others.

Flahthead, where ya from in PA? <br />I keep only what I can eat; kill white perch regardless-feed to sea birds and turtles, garden.<br />Our lake is overrun with perch, but they're dam good eatin'!

when i'm trout fishing for the little stockers around here, i don't usually get a limit, so i keep all of'em. they're small, so i don't fillet em, just cut head, dress out. fishing the lakes, i keep 1st fish, until i've caught bigger. then all go back, unless i've got a meal planned. at home, we seldom eat seafood. but when out at restaurants, that's my favorite. its weird because both grandparents love seafood. i'm slowly getting my child into this. it will be a new ballgame when they grow up
