Just bought 1995 90HP Merc tracker... First Merc- any advice, tips reviews for me?

I've made my conversion from a 1988 Johnson 90HP on an 18ft CC to a 1995 90HP Merc Tracker 3 cyl Carb Model on a 19ft tracker aluminum.

Any tips, advice, reviews on the Merc? I've never owned one. I'm used to changing plugs, doing decarbs and cleaning carbs yearly on the Johnson. This is an oil injected model. A lot of johnson owners disable theirs-- is the Merc system pretty reliable? Will I need to decarb often? Are there any common failures I should look for? How do the mid 90's Mercs compare to other models?
