Thank you. She has an old registration sticker from 1958 still attached that was under a stack of old ones. Found it when I pulled the stack off to prep for a little bit of touch up painting. Didn't think to cover it with a clear sticker until I had already put the new one over it sadly though. Was the Holiday around then?
that's really interesting about a 58 sticker. I'm still not convinced that she's not a >=1962 Holiday. :ROFLMAO: (a '63 has the hatch with old style bowed windshield)

I'm fairly certain that StarCraft didn't manufacture a boat that large in '58.

from the '58 brochure...Jupiter being their big boy.

That's one reason I'm sketchy on the year too. I thought she was an early 60s myself but then I found that registration sticker. And my title/registration doesn't have a year listed.

Ah, that is too bad.. that would have been neat to keep that 1958 sticker visible.

A mystery - fun.

Do you know the S/N that might/should be on the rating plate? That would provide some hints. I keep a list of S/N's, the earliest is 418950, reported to be a 1966 (but not confirmed).

If "MC" is Michigan, (I would have picked Neb from the posted chart and comment but) - how long are MI stickers good for? and how would a '58 sticker get on a newer boat? Here in MN they are good for 3 years, so if someone was trying to "catch up" their registration, I could see a '58 sticker on a '60 or maybe '61 boat.

And the paper work, again, I don't know what MI has, but here in MN we have both a registration and a title used for boats.

To use a boat on MN waters, there has to be a sticker, either MN or a "home" state. Registering a boat lists it with our DNR and a/the sticker is given that goes on the boat. The info on the registration is provided by the owner (or seller/dealer) and can be incorrect (it's not checked, our DNR cares little about the craft and more about that they know about it and get the fee).

If one has a large boat, then a title is also often provided, similar to a vehicle title to prove ownership and to transfer ownership.
(I have had a number of boats and lots of canoes, all registered and with stickers. Non have had titles.)
The point of this is info on state paperwork can often be wrong.

Oh, you might also check out that Starcraft Club previously mentioned, they may have build/date info.

Michigan is indeed MC. For new boats we have separate titles and regulations depending on size I believe it is, but older boats from what our secretary of state office told me we may not be issued a separate title. Our registrations are for three years as well, and we only need registration numbers and stickers on motorized craft unless they are being used for commercial purposes. She's stored in a family members pole barn atm and haven't had time to get the info from her hull plate and I'm having a hard time finding her paperwork at the moment, been in the process of moving so things are a bit jumbled ha. I've asked the man I bought her from(a family friend) what year she is and he can't tell me exactly and the man he bought her from(the original owner I believe) has passed so i obviously can't ask him sadly.

The only other options are to try and make your own WS, there is a thread in the main resto forum where instructions are on how to do it.
The other is to update to a newer style center opening glass windshield from a donor boat.

Retrofitting a newer style is an option that I've kept on the table but I would like to keep the original style if possible. I'm still in the planning stages so I have time to try and find one. And who knows I may just decide to bite the bullet and spend the money on having the new one made down in Florida. She's never going to be a showboat but I just like the looks of the old style.
