Almost positive it's an Evinrude. They were pretty ugly when new, but time has made them kinda cool, as you noted. Saw one on CL up here a few months back and was sorely tempted to go take a look.

Those old Surfers are cool looking. I've always wondered how comfortable the ride is on 'em.
