jon boat bow mount trolling motor??

i have a 14 jon boat and am looking for the best way to mount a foot controlled trolling motor to the bow??? thanks

Something like this will mount a non-foot controlled one.

You could fabricate a mount for one of the removable trolling motor mounts for the foot controlled ones. When I had my jon boat, instead of making mounts and such, I used a mount like above with a motor made to me stern mounted with a handle extension. It was alot easier than dealing with a foot control in the bottom of the boat.

I used a piece of 2" x 6" aluminum tubing to fill the space between the rubrail and front storage locker. It allowed the trolling motor plate to be flush with the rubrail.
It was pretty easy to do.
Look at the pictures. Hopefully you can do something similar.

yeah thats what i was looking for but my motor mount is longer than the front seat. going to have to make something up... will the motor work ok if it not in the middle of the boat but off to one side??

Sure. Only reason I put mine in the center is because I thought it looked better.
