I see what you mean about the "element of truth" making for good humour...That's PRECISELY how the current press corps "tells questions" of the Administration.
I really like Tony Snow. He would probably give them that "answer" just to beat them at their own game, or to make them transparent in spite of themselves. He is fun to watch.
And any time a "question" they field is longer than 5 seconds (which is most of them) they are spinning another doozy up.
BTW, i would expect no less from "doomsburried".
