Johson outboard starter

I have a johnson meteor 100hp motor. The plate on motor says it's a v4ml-12r and I am trying to locate a starter fully assembled not parts for it. Mine is dead. The starter has a model prestolite mgd-4001-12v and I do Google search and so many different ones pop up but not looking like mine I got. Hoping I can get some help. I really wanna get this boat in the water.

Rebuilding's probably the only way you're going to get it though

Utah and the started don't work lol. Won't turn

Yes and the boat is a project boat. It was turning over before then just died. And yes did direct jumping. This is a old motor and hasn't been worked on in years. I'm trying to get it going again. Just got a new wire harness for it and spark plugs and wires and ya.

Friends of mine had one of these motors on a 17' deep V boat.----Skied many miles behind it.----Used to pull 2 skiers out of the water with slalom skis.----A real powerhouse.----Take starter apart for inspection.-----See what it needs.

Have you measured the battery voltage while jumped on the starter ? could be worn brushes stuck in the brush holder.
