Johnson Year model?

Am I Right saying that my Johnson is a 1986 model, if so a couple of questions.<br />Model # J25RCDC<br />Serial # 6184760<br />What is it worth, in good to excellen condition?<br />Is the pull knob on the front of the motor a primer, or choke seems to act like primer, if so where is choke? The only thing n the whole motor that is non readable is the controls on the handle. One more thing it is very hard o shut off and will start in gear. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

lst go to brp.evinrude(owns johnson) order manual,or at least look at the pictures. your neutral switch is either disconnected or out of adjustment. is electric start or manual?

It is manuel start, I am still not sure what year it is. The Evinrude site does not show the diagram for the neutral switch. Or for the tiller handle. My guess was right for the primer thing, this motor is alot diffrent than my two early 70's Evinrudes both are 25's. I just got this motor for free and it has no paperwork or manuels with it. It is not stolen or anything it was sort of a trade for some work and the like. The guy has not usd it in 10 years and won't ever again. I got it started within a few pulls and it runs and idles great. Just need some help with the above. As soon as I am positive on year of motor I will order manuel, I have never posted here before because I was able to figure most of my problems out through searches here.

Yes it is an 86 25hp.
